The 5 best LASIK centres in London for a crystal clear vision

  • Credentials: We chose facilities with highly qualified surgeons and a strong track record of success in LASIK procedures. We checked this by reviewing their certifications, training, and patient outcomes.
  • Equipment: We selected facilities with advanced, cutting-edge technology to ensure precision and safety during the procedure.
  • Patient Care: We picked facilities that prioritise comfort, safety, and personalised care for their patients. We assessed this through customer feedback.

London Vision Clinic truly impressed us with its cutting-edge techniques and patient-focused care.

One of their standout treatment is the PRESBYOND Laser Blended Vision. It’s designed to give clear sight at different distances—something traditional LASIK doesn’t really address for presbyopia.

Patients we spoke to also praised the clinic’s wavefront-guided LASIK. This technology personalises the procedure based on each person’s unique eye characteristics, delivering precise and effective results. Even better, it’s included in the cost, so there are no extra charges.

The team is led by Professor Dan Reinstein, a well-known expert in refractive surgery. His leadership ensures a high standard of care, as reflected in t he detailed pre-surgical assessments patients receive.

One patient shared how her assessment included topographical mapping, which ensured that her treatment was tailored to her needs.

That said, the clinic’s prices are higher than other LASIK clinics in London. While the premium cost reflects their advanced technology and expertise, it may not suit those with tighter budgets.

Pros

  • Innovative treatments
  • Advanced technology
  • Experienced team
  • Thorough pre-surgical assessments

Cons

  • Higher pricing

I am glad that this surgery was a success

“I had my laser eye surgery in August 2024, and it’s the best decision I ever made. I am very glad I decided to go with London Vision Clinic as it was important to me to go to a Clinic that had the latest technology and great aftercare. Before the surgery I had a number of appointments where they went through the healing process which I am so glad they did because often you can get lied to on social media. I am glad that this surgery was a success – I love my new vision!”

The surgery itself was very quick and easy

“Just over a month after surgery and my vision is excellent. The practice was very thorough with the initial testing and making me aware of the available options and any risks, as well as what to expect in terms of recovery. The surgery itself was very quick and easy, and I was given a pack to take home with everything I needed. Could not recommend LVC more.”

Focus Clinics in London stands out for its precision-driven approach to vision correction, thanks to its use of the advanced Z-LASIK procedure. It combines two advanced laser systems—the Wavelight Allegretto Eye-Q and the Ziemer LDV—to treat myopia, hyperopia, and astigmatism.

Dr. David Allamby, the clinic’s chief surgeon, developed this technique. With over 20 years of experience and more than 25,000 surgeries under his belt, he brings unparalleled expertise to the table.

What’s even more impressive is he was also recognised for being the first in the UK to treat presbyopia using his own methods.

Patients we spoke to praised the clinic’s focus on making the process as smooth as possible, starting with a free consultation to help decide if LASIK is the right choice.

Many also appreciated the lifetime care guarantee, which covers follow-up treatments for the next ten years at no extra cost—a feature that offers great peace of mind.

That said, there’s room for improvement. A few patients noted delays or challenges in getting quick responses to their questions or concerns after surgery. Addressing this could enhance the overall patient experience.

Pros

  • Innovative techniques
  • Experienced surgeon
  • Lifetime care guarantee
  • Free consultation

Cons

  • A few reports of delayed communication post-surgery

Eyes healed very quickly and aftercare was good

“Wife has LASIK done and is beaming at the results. Eyes healed very quickly and aftercare was good. We initially had a referral from a friend who also had a great experience. If you refer you can get £100 each. Would highly recommend to anyone interested in their services. The staff are also very friendly and take care of you.”

Optimal Vision offers a modern, blade-free LASIK option that’s worth considering. Their approach combines a femtosecond laser to create a thin corneal flap and an excimer laser to reshape the cornea. This method offers quicker recovery times and reliable results.

When we were researching about the clinic, we were impressed by its team. It’s made up of highly experienced NHS-trained surgeons who are Fellows of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists. With over 50,000 successful procedures, their experience speaks volume.

One thing that stood out to us is their consistent care model. Patients work with the same consultant throughout their treatment, a detail many patients found reassuring.

One patient we talked to shared how this helped them feel more confident and comfortable during the process.

The clinic also excels in its thoroughness. From detailed pre-operative assessments to highly customised treatments, Optimal Vision focuses on getting every detail right.

Many patients appreciated the lifetime follow-up care and the inclusion of the first year of aftercare at no additional cost.

That said, the thoroughness can come with a trade-off. A few patients mentioned that the initial consultation and screening process can take a long time, sometimes lasting several hours. While it’s great for ensuring accuracy, it might not be ideal if you’re on a tight schedule.

Pros

  • Blade-free technology
  • Experienced surgeons
  • Consistent care model
  • Thorough assessments
  • Follow-up care

Cons

  • Lengthy consultation process

No discomfort at all and I now have 20/20 vision!

“I can see! Writing this on the day after my LASIK surgery and I have no discomfort at all, barely any sign that I had anything done, other than better than 20/20 vision. It really is all it’s cracked up to be and Dr Mani and the team were supportive and communicative throughout.”

Tarun Shahani, Google review

Everyone is so professional and caring

“Great experience. Everyone is so professional and caring, the whole process is very smooth and efficient, with all the explanations in each step of the way, you really feel in good hands. I am also a surgeon and I can tell that Dr Mani is very knowledgeable and good at his job. I am very happy with the results of the bilateral LASIK surgery and really recommend it!”

EuroEyes impressed us with its connection to a globally recognised network of clinics. This global connection allows them to draw on shared expertise and resources, ensuring access to the latest advancements in eye care.

If you’re looking for a blade-free procedure, their Femto-LASIK is a solid option. It uses femtosecond lasers, which can make the healing process smoother and reduce potential risks.

We also appreciated the clinic’s wide range of treatments, from PRK and LASEK to PRESBYOND for presbyopia. With this range, they can tailor the approach to each person’s needs.

The expertise of their surgeons also stood out to us. They bring 30 years of experience to the table and handle thousands of procedures annually, which speaks to their skill level.

Many patients have shared positive experiences, mentioning the personalised care they received from the first consultation through to follow-ups.

Another highlight was the clinic itself. Their state-of-the-art facility, equipped with advanced diagnostic tools and laser systems, added to the overall sense of quality and precision.

That said, being a premium clinic in Knightsbridge, their prices might be higher than what you’d find elsewhere. If budget is a key factor, this could be something to keep in mind.

Pros

  • International expertise
  • Advanced technology
  • Wide range of treatments
  • Experienced surgeons
  • Personalised care
  • State-of-the-art facility

Cons

  • Higher pricing

The best cutting-edge equipment, the kindest staff, and aftercare is brilliant

“Absolutely amazing. From my first appointment to my trifocal lens replacement day, to the aftercare… this company are superb. The best cutting-edge equipment, the kindest staff, nothing is too much and your aftercare is brilliant. It’s all included no hidden extras which is really appreciated. I highly recommend LEC”

When we heard that AccuVision has a 99.84% success rate for LASIK, we had to check them out.

One thing that truly impressed us was their AccuWave™ system. This advanced technology creates highly detailed 3D maps of the cornea, allowing the surgeons to tailor treatments to each patient.

This level of detail, combined with their strict safety protocols and experienced team, helps deliver better results than your average LASIK procedure.

Their personalised care is also impressive. One patient shared how having two surgeons during the procedure made the experience feel less nerve-wracking. They were there the whole time, offering reassurance and making sure everything went smoothly.

Another standout feature is AccuVision’s unique “no-touch” technique called Trans-Epi. It skips the traditional flap creation, which helps reduce discomfort and makes it a good option for people with thinner corneas or those who live active lifestyles.

Their aftercare is another positive. Patients get follow-up consultations to check on their recovery and address any concerns.

The only downside we’ve heard is that some patients felt a lack of a consistent point of contact. Some met different surgeons for follow-up appointments, which made their experiences feel less personal.

Pros

  • High success rate
  • Advanced technology
  • Personalised care
  • Innovative procedures
  • Solid aftercare

Cons

  • A few reports of inconsistent point of contact

Everyone was really nice, explained the procedure and risks very clearly

“I had an amazing LASIK experience at Accuvision. Everyone was really nice, explained the procedure and risks very clearly and made sure I was feeling confident – I didn’t feel like I was being rushed through the process at all. The optometrists kept a close eye on me in my follow up appointments and made sure my dry eyes were thoroughly treated before I could be discharged. Definitely recommend!”

The entire process was incredibly smooth and easy

“I had my laser eye surgery at AccuVision about a year ago, and the entire process was incredibly smooth and easy. The team at AccuVision answered all my questions thoroughly before the procedure. I’m thrilled to report that my vision is 20/20. I was so impressed that I recommended the treatment to my sister, who also had the surgery and can vouch for the excellent care provided by AccuVision!”
