Regain your confidence with the best hair transplant in Birmingham from these clinics

  • Technology and Techniques: We chose clinics that utilise advanced hair transplant methods like FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction). This is to ensure clients can get minimally invasive procedures with natural-looking results and faster recovery times.
  • Client Support: We considered clinics that provide clear communication, promptly answer queries, and offer guidance throughout the entire process.
  • Pricing: We assessed clinics with transparent pricing structures. This ensures costs are clear and competitive, providing value for money.
  • Aftercare: Based on client feedback, we selected clinics that offer comprehensive aftercare programs. Clinics that provide follow-up appointments, advise on maintaining results and address any concerns post-procedure were prioritised.
  • Consultation Process: We evaluated the consultation process of the clinics. They must have a detailed assessment and personalised treatment plan depending on the client’s needs.

We get it—having to wear the same cap every day to hide thinning hair can feel pretty limiting. You want to rock every look with confidence, but thinning hair can make that tricky.

Don’t stress, though. Birmingham has some great hair transplant clinics ready to help.

My team and I did the legwork for you, checking out the best spots. We’ve put together a list of the top clinics we’ve assessed, so keep reading to find out more!

We checked out Este Medical Group’s Hair & Skin Clinic and found their facilities really impressive. The modern vibes make it way easier to relax, especially if you’re feeling nervous about the procedure.

They gave us the lowdown on their treatments, like FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) and DHI (Direct Hair Implantation). Both procedures are minimally invasive, which means faster recovery times and no visible scarring—a huge plus if you’re aiming for natural-looking results.

We even saw clients getting beard and eyebrow transplants, so they’ve got a lot of options.

A standout feature of the clinic is its approach to aftercare. Clients we spoke to praised the clinic for staying in touch and answering questions they had after the procedure.

That said, there’s one area where Este Medical Group could improve: appointment wait times. Some clients mentioned feeling frustrated by how long it can take to book a slot.

Pros

  • Modern, welcoming facility
  • Minimally invasive treatments
  • Wide range of services
  • Good aftercare

Cons

  • A few reports of long wait times

The hair transplant experience was excellent!

“The hair transplant experience was excellent! Traveling from Birmingham to Turkey was smooth, with seamless coordination from pickup to the surgery itself. The follow-up wash at the Birmingham clinic was fantastic, and the entire staff was incredibly welcoming and professional. Thank you to Lumia and Irana”

I have to say the service and care were amazing

“I had my final wash after hair transplant surgery today and I have to say the service and care were amazing. Lumia did a great job, she was very attentive, knew what she was doing and looked after my scalp like an expert. Because of this, I have now booked my aftercare with PRF and Laser treatment through Ozzy as his advice was very good. Would definitely recommend Este Medical Group for anyone thinking of going on the hair transplant journey.”

If traditional hair transplants aren’t your thing, Hair Growth Centre has some appealing alternatives to explore. They offer non-surgical options like hair loss tablets and scalp micropigmentation (SMP).

We really like the SMP option. It’s a non-surgical cosmetic procedure that involves tattooing tiny dots on the scalp to replicate the appearance of hair follicles.

For those who prefer a more traditional approach, they offer Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE).  It’s one of the most popular hair transplant procedures and is known for its precision and natural-looking results.

One of our researchers had an undercover consultation and was impressed by how personal the whole process was. The surgical assistants really took their time to assess the hair loss pattern and came up with a plan that was tailored to his needs.

Many clients also appreciated the flexible payment options, which made treatments more accessible.

That said, a few mentioned they didn’t feel like there was enough follow-up care after their procedures.

Pros

  • Minimally-invasive technique
  • Non-surgical options
  • Personalised treatment plan
  • Flexible payment options

Cons

  • A few reports of insufficient follow-up care

They are very professional and courteous

“I have not yet had my procedures, but I have paid for the hair transplant and the plasma injections. I have had to postpone my procedure twice due to unforeseen circumstances, but Mo has been extremely helpful in accommodating these delays. Always quick to respond to mails, whilst being professional and courteous, if his service is anything to go by, the results of the transplant should be outstanding.”

All the staff have made me feel comfortable

“I am coming up to a year since my hair transplant and my experience from initial consultation to post-transplant has been amazing. I am so glad I chose to come to this clinic! All the staff have made me feel comfortable and I couldn’t be happier with the results on my hair so far. The service has been excellent, very professional and always able to advise and answer any questions. I would highly recommend!”

At Optima Hair Specialists, we were really impressed by the level of personalisation in their treatments. Many clients we spoke to praised how much time the clinic took to figure out what would work best for them during the consultation.

One thing we really appreciated was that they didn’t just promote surgery as the only option. They offer non-invasive ways to deal with hair loss, such as laser therapy and hair integration systems.

The laser hair growth therapy, in particular, stood out to us. It’s designed to improve blood flow in the scalp, which can be especially useful if you’re in the early stages of thinning or a receding hairline.

Another aspect we were impressed by was their satisfaction guarantee. If you’re not happy with the results, you can get a refund.

That said, we did notice that their prices are on the higher side. So, if you’re on a tight budget, you might want to check out other clinics as well.

Pros

  • Personalised treatment
  • Offers non-surgical options
  • Empathetic team
  • Offers a satisfaction guarantee

Cons

  • Higher pricing

Thank you for making me feel welcome and giving me back my confidence

“I would like to thank Peter and the staff at Optima Hair Specialists for an excellent hair system. I have been to 2 in Birmingham and I was very disappointed. SO THANK YOU PETER AND THE BRILLIANT STAFF FOR MAKING ME WELCOME AND GIVING ME MY CONFIDENCE BACK. THEY ARE THE BEST.”

Scalp Doctor’s approach to hair restoration left us impressed in several ways. One standout feature is their use of local anaesthesia during procedures, which clients say makes the process more comfortable—a huge plus for anyone nervous about the pain.

They also have an impressive line-up of high-tech equipment for their advanced FUE technique. This minimally invasive approach is designed to deliver a natural-looking hairline, which is exactly what many clients are after.

We also appreciated their thorough consultations before any treatment. They really take the time to analyse hair patterns and what their clients want, tailoring each procedure to individual needs.

While most clients praise the friendly and professional staff, some have mentioned communication delays. A few also felt their concerns weren’t fully addressed during follow-up consultations.

Pros

  • Use of local anaesthesia
  • Comfortable procedure
  • High-tech machines
  • Advanced FUE technique
  • Personalised treatment

Cons

  • A few reports of delays in communication

I definitely recommend them if you’re reading this

“After doing some research on SMP, I then decided to research who would be best to do it, and at the right price. Mark, the scalp doctor was very good with his communication at first and answered the questions I had on SMP. I then got a date in for my first session and was very impressed with his workplace, and cleanliness. I’ve had my treatment finished now which is 3 sessions, and I’m very pleased with the work Mark has done. I definitely recommend Mark to you if you’re reading this.”

Extremely knowledgeable and experienced

“I have recently completed a week’s training course with Mark from Scalp Doctor and I cannot speak highly enough of him. Mark is extremely knowledgeable and experienced and although the course is intense Mark will expertly guide you through it. Not only is Mark very very good at what he does he is also a top bloke, very friendly and patient. If you are looking to have a treatment or want to book on one of Mark’s courses I would highly recommend it. Thank you, Mark.”

With founders Ian Watson and Ranbir Rai-Watson leading the way for over 18 years, it’s clear HIS Hair Clinic has a team of highly trained practitioners who know their stuff. Their extensive experience is reflected in the quality of their work, which clients rave about.

Getting to the clinic was super easy since it’s right in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter. Although they offer remote consultations via Zoom or WhatsApp, we decided to visit in person to get the full experience.

We chatted with a few clients who praised the clinic’s discreet and supportive service. They mentioned that the clinic doesn’t just focus on restoring hair—it also helps boost self-esteem with natural-looking results.

One standout offering is their scalp micropigmentation (SMP), a fantastic alternative to traditional hair transplants like FUE.  What’s great is that clients can customise their hairline and density to suit their personal style.

That said, their services might be a bit pricier compared to other clinics offering similar treatments.

Pros

  • Highly trained practitioners
  • Accessible location
  • Remote consultation option
  • Discrete and supportive service
  • Variety of treatments

Cons

  • Higher pricing

They are both spot-on in terms of knowledge and customer service

“I had my first treatment at HisHair way back in 2012, definitely been one of the best things I’ve done 100%. Went into Birmingham this week to see Ian and Ranbir for a refresh after nearly eight years and have to say it was a fantastic experience again. They are both spot-on in terms of Knowledge and customer service. My SMP now looks brand new and I couldn’t be happier. I would wholeheartedly recommend HisHair for the treatment, the original and the best..”

Geoff Rhodes, Google review

I was really at ease throughout the whole process

“Third time visiting His Hair now and gosh what an experience. Always a warm welcome and a step-by-step guide on what will be carried out during the procedure which keeps you at ease throughout the whole process. Both Ian and Ranbir are pioneers, professionals to be precise masters in this field (20 years experience) and know exactly what they’re doing. Definitely recommend you pay a visit if your thinking about getting SMP done as you’ll get all the help and support from them and a clear picture regards the final outcome.”
