Will it cost you money to get a job from an employment agency in London?

No, it won’t cost you money to get a job from a legitimate employment agency in London. These agencies are paid by employers, not job seekers. However, optional extras like CV reviews or interview coaching may have fees. Be cautious of agencies asking for payment for job placement—they’re likely not operating legally.

1. 3Search

Business Hours: Daily 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Website

3Search quickly stood out to us as one of London’s leading recruitment agencies, especially for roles in marketing, digital, and technology.

Upon checking their track record, we noted that they’re very capable in matching talented candidates with the right opportunities. We found many successful placements in both start-ups and established firms.

What we love most, though, is their personalised approach. The team invests time in understanding candidates’ goals and backgrounds while collaborating with employers to ensure the best fit.

However, their focus on marketing, digital, and technology means they may not be the best option for those outside these industries.

Regardless, they’re still open to applications seeking in financial, and not-for-profit or public sectors should you deem to be part of these niches.

Additionally, some job seekers have mentioned that their highly specialised approach might make it harder to find immediate roles in competitive markets.

Pros

  • Specialises in marketing, digital, and tech roles
  • Deep expertise
  • Offers a personalised approach
  • Strong reputation
  • Many successful placements across start-ups and established companies

Cons

  • Limited to specific industries
  • High demand for roles in their focus areas can make competition tough

Highly recommended!

I had just ventured back into the world of design after taking some time off to have 2 baby’s which was quite daunting for me. Yasmin was amazing in helping me search for new roles, she supported me and listened to what I wanted to gain from my next role. She brought some great roles to me, gave me advice and brought my confidence back. She has amazing skills and knowledge and I can’t  thank her enough for helping me get back into work. I would highly recommend!

Seamless process!

I have never felt truly comfortable in any recruitment process as much as I’ve had with 3 search. The attitude, the warmth and the support they provide is amazing. Sarah and Taylor, were so kind and efficient. They really do the full job and ensure the process is as seamless as it can get. I had a great experience and I couldnt thank Sarah and Taylor enough.

Tiger Recruitment has earned a solid reputation in London’s recruitment scene, particularly for roles in business support, private household staff, and executive search.

We observed their recruitment process and noted how the consultant focuses on understanding both the client’s and candidate’s needs.

For us, their tailored approach ensures a match that benefits both parties. They take the time to understand the candidate’s career goals and strengths so they can get a role that aligns with their aspirations.

This thoughtful process benefits employers as well, as they receive candidates who are genuinely prepared to thrive in their positions.

But, while they knock it out of the park with their strong focus on administrative and support roles, this may also mean that they have less depth in other sectors. In our books, this factor can be limiting for some applicants.

However, their smooth recruitment process and personalised service make them an excellent consideration if you’re seeking new opportunities in these fields.

Pros

  • Specialisation in administrative and support roles
  • Personalised, hands-on approach
  • Strong industry reputation

Cons

  • May have less expertise in sectors outside their specialisation

A brilliant experience!

I had a brilliant experience with Tiger Recruitment, and I couldn’t be happier with the service I received.

From start to finish, the process was seamless, thanks to the exceptional assistance and support from my consultant, Chloe. Chloe’s professionalism shone through as she went above and beyond to ensure that I found the perfect fit for my career aspirations.

I highly recommend Tiger Recruitment to anyone seeking top-notch recruitment services, and I’m incredibly grateful to Chloe for her invaluable help.

Couldn’t recommend them enough!

I have had an amazing experience working with Tiger Recruitment. I couldn’t recommend them enough! Everyone I have spoken to has been an excellent help from start to finish with the process.

Annie especially has been so amazing to work with, always wanting the best for you, communicating through out the whole process and the follow up. She is extremely friendly whilst sourcing exactly what job I was looking for. She has gone above and beyond with me to land my dream job and I am so thankful for all the effort she has gone to!

Thank you once again Tiger Recruitment for helping me though this process, you have been a pleasure to work with.

There’s a lot to appreciate about Command Recruitment Limited, especially their expertise in construction, engineering, and healthcare. They also specialise in the mining and information technology sectors which are becoming more prominent in the UK workforce.

They’ve built a strong reputation for matching candidates with standout opportunities both locally and internationally, which is a great bonus for job seekers.

More specifically, they provide either contractual or permanent staffing should you want more options in the employment style that you’re searching for.

We also really like their thoughtful approach in terms of recruitment. From what we’ve seen they work closely with candidates and do thorough interviews to help them get roles that align with their skills and aspirations.

And while they may not be the best choice for job searches outside their specialised fields, their deep knowledge and services make them an excellent option for those in their areas of specialisation.

Pros

  • Specialised in construction, engineering, and property sectors
  • Global reach with international opportunities
  • Personalised recruitment

Cons

  • Limited options for roles outside their focus industries
  • Placement success can vary depending on the role

Vertical Advantage caught our attention because of their niche. They specialise in supply chain, procurement, and marketing roles, which means they really know their stuff in these areas.

Upon digging further, we noted how they’re also great at finding opportunities that align with a candidate’s skills and career goals. So, they’re a great option whether you’re starting fresh or taking the next big step.

Their job matching approach is noteworthy too. We’ve observed how their consultants are thorough in understanding what each candidate is looking for, taking into account their skills, goals, and experiences.

That said, we noticed that their communication may be inconsistent sometimes. This could lead to delays in feedback and updates on the recruitment process—a notable drawback for some jobseekers and companies.

Pros

  • Specialised in supply chain, procurement, and marketing roles
  • Good track record

Cons

  • Limited opportunities for roles outside their focus areas
  • Communication is inconsistent

They find the best options for your professional profile

Thanks to Calvin and his Vertical Advantage team! They helped me throughout the entire process and guided me to find the best option for my professional profile. They also provided support before, during, and after the process, making the experience incredibly rewarding. I highly recommend them.

Our team really liked Creative Recruitment for their strong focus on the creative sector, including advertising, design, digital media, and fashion.

Plus, they have an extensive network and deep industry knowledge, which makes them a solid choice if you’re aiming for roles in these fields.

What we love about them is how personal their approach feels. They take the time to get to know you, your strengths, and where you want to go in your career.

We were just iffy about their unusually slow website. Most job agencies online have simple and thorough web pages to make the experience for both the employer and job seeker easier. For Crowd, it’s definitely leaning more towards style over functionality and practicality.

Nevertheless, the site works just fine, but we did find navigating through it a lot less seamless. Not a dealbreaker, but certainly something that might frustrate eager job seekers and companies who are too busy with their days already.

Pros

  • Specialises in advertising, design, digital media, and fashion roles
  • Personalised approach
  • Extensive industry knowledge
  • Broad network

Cons

  • Limited to creative industries; may not suit other sectors
  • High competition for roles within the creative field
  • Slow website navigation experience

Gives you confidence in your search for that dream job!

Working with Elly at The Crowd has been an absolute pleasure. She has consistently kept me updated with roles that are a great fit, and her communication has been outstanding. In a time when staying in touch is often overlooked, Elly has made the process of job hunting so much easier by always keeping me informed about new opportunities. Her friendly and supportive approach has given me confidence in my search, and it’s clear she understands exactly what I’m looking for in my career. I look forward to continuing my job search with her assistance!

Guides you every step of the way

Kamen from The Crowd has been an outstanding recruiter. He has been guiding me through every step, is always easy to reach, and played a key role in advancing me to the next interview rounds of job application. I highly recommend him to anyone seeking a top-notch recruiter and will definitely be recommending him to my graduate friends as well.
