My brother’s favourite Leeds dessert has always been the Yorkshire pudding. As kids, he’d always sneak one in after our dinner, no matter how many times Mom warned him about his teeth.
Fast forward a few months ago. He called me in the middle of the night, freaking out about a toothache. Meanwhile, I just wanted to go back to sleep.
Luckily for him, our team had just researched some top emergency dentists in the city.

The first thing we noticed in The Tooth’s Spa clinic is their ground-floor facilities. This accessibility is great for accommodating patients, especially those with mobility issues.
We really love that new private patients under 12 get a free initial examination. This is such an affordable choice for parents who want to introduce their children to regular dental care.
One of the patients there that we spoke to also mentioned she brings her children here regularly because her kids love check-ups. She said the team is always friendly and knows how to make the kids feel comfortable.
We spoke with a few more patients in the waiting area, and many praised how easy it was to book emergency appointments. One said he was so relieved when the clinic offered a same-day appointment on a Saturday when he had a sudden toothache.
They also have an impressive range of emergency dental services, including treatment for broken teeth, lost crowns, and toothache.
That said, it’s a bit disappointing that they’re closed on Sundays. Emergencies don’t happen only from Monday to Saturday, so it would’ve been so much better if they were also available on Sundays.

If your tooth is aching in the middle of the night, Night and Day Emergency Dentist is a good choice. It’s open 24/7 and offers a wide range of services, including root canals, extractions, and more.
We love that they let patients take breaks during their treatments. The receptionist said it was their way of dealing with nervous patients. This thoughtful touch speaks volumes about their patient-focused approach.
We also appreciate the clinic’s no-registration policy. It allows patients to get treated immediately without any paperwork hassle, which is very important in emergency cases.
Even the tourist patient we talked to was very happy about this, as he was able to get treated quickly when he chipped his tooth while in Leeds.
Most of the other patients we talked to said their procedures, especially the extraction, were quick and pain-free.
However, when we asked for prices for their services, they were higher than those of the other clinics we visited. If budget is one of the factors you’re considering, they might not be the one for you.

Clarendon Dental Spa’s facility is impressive. The treatment rooms are spacious, clean and calming. None of the patients waiting even showed a bit of anxiousness in them.
We could also sense the staff’s professionalism during our visit. One of our researchers booked a consultation with one of the dentists and was pleased with how he explained everything clearly, from the procedure steps to possible outcomes.
The clinic also has comprehensive care not only for adults but also for children. We spoke to a parent whose son received the ‘wand’ treatment which basically is an anaesthesia procedure to make it painless and quick.
They also appreciated the extra aftercare instruction sent via email, which made recovery easy.
One patient also shared how, despite a short delay due to a previous emergency, their tooth extraction with Dr Docrat and his nurse went smoothly. They even found the experience entertaining because of the duo’s great rapport.
That said, we’ve heard from a patient that his National Health Service (NHS) appointment was cancelled twice at the last minute.

Infinity Dental Clinic’s interior design was a standout during our visit. It has a calm and welcoming environment and the mirrors were a nice touch.
They seamlessly handle everything in-house since they offer emergency care, Invisalign, and dental implants. With an in-house dental lab and advanced digital techniques, they customise treatments quickly and efficiently.
One patient even mentioned having their crown created and fitted the same day. It’s a huge plus for those with busy schedules.
Their dental implants receive a lot of praise. Dr. Patel, their dental implant specialist, is always mentioned not only for his technical skill but also for his thorough and reassuring approach.
One of our researchers had the chance to consult with him. He provided a detailed treatment plan outlining timeframes and alternatives, which was informative.
Another highlight is the team’s flexibility. Some of the patients said the team always accommodated their tight schedule for appointments, which we found very convenient.
That said, we’ve heard some complaints about pricing transparency. Some got offered to sign for expensive prepayment plans or treatments, even though it wasn’t necessary for their case.

One of the reasons we included Perfect Smile Clinic on this list is their spot-on appointment management. I decided to try out their services myself. I booked a dental cleaning and only waited for a few minutes in the waiting area before being called in.
The whole process was done meticulously. Each of my teeth was examined and I appreciate how the dentist provided personalised advice to maintain my oral health.
I got the chance to ask him about their services and said I should return if I need dental implants or Invisalign.
They do offer some sedation options too for patients with dental anxiety.
Besides their dental and emergency care, they also have cosmetic treatments and facial aesthetics.
That said, I’ve heard reports of bad experiences with the staff. One person said that a staff member rudely hung up the phone while he was inquiring about a service.
